I steal sparks from nature, images, ideas, materials, conversations, places, books, films. I steal from anything that makes something move inside me. I collect fragments and let them collide with what I already know, what I have lived and what I imagine. Because I believe creativity begins when all our senses are awake: listening with our eyes, looking with our ears, touching, tasting, breathing in, and letting the world find its way in. What matters is not where something came from, but where it is taken next. I try to acknowledge what inspires me, transform what I borrow and leave it changed by the journey. My creative practise deals with looking for connections instead of shortcuts. A place to share, lend and borrow boldly, transform honestly and create with humility. That is the only way for me to steal with dignity. –Marta Viera

ECOLLAGE, the exhibition

It takes shape as a creative practice to invite a conversation between nature & human creativity. A place where unexpected relationships come up between images and textures, memory & imagination to reveal new possibilities with materials, about what once were and what might still become. Don’t miss it!
